Weddings at the

First United Methodist Church

Dixon, Illinois

Weddings are a very important commitment uniting one person to another in holy matrimony.  It is more important to have God in the midst of this union to create a sacred, unbreakable three-cord bond between these individuals.  This is why the Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Dixon has a set of Guidelines and Procedures for a couple wishing to marry in our church to follow before and at the time of their wedding.

Setting the Date

Arrangements for the wedding date are to be made through the church office. The Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Dixon is available to conduct your marriage ceremony.

Only the church pastor will perform the wedding. In an extreme, exceptional case, some other pastor will be assigned by the Pastor.

A non-refundable deposit is required from non-members at the time the wedding date is set. The remainder of the fees must be paid in cash 2 weeks before the wedding date.
